First we will juice fresh citrus fruits, as this component is integral in all of the cocktails we will be creating. Limes, and lemons will be hand-squeezed, while oranges & grapefruits are pressed on an industrial juicer. Next, we will create mint simple syrup by shake-dissolving sugar in water and steeping with fresh mint leaves. The third lesson is to French-press strain cold brewed yerba Maté. The fourth phase of the class is to correctly measure & mix ingredients via shaker tin or mixing glass, and strain into appropriate glassware. The finishing phase is an interactive instruction on proper cutting, zesting, and arrangement of garnishes for each libation. The Grand Finalé is a social hour in which the guests are encouraged to ask questions & share ideas, while enjoying hand-crafted cocktails at a discounted rate.

I have explored over 30 countries, gathering knowledge & inspiration for unique cocktail ideas to bring home to Texas. The Cocktail Workshop will be conducted inside Boxcar Bar, utilizing the same products, tools & equipment used by professionals to craft world-class cocktails. Social Hour will be held inside the elegant bar & on the patio with a view of passing trains, sunset, and San Antonio skyline.
Please arrive at the scheduled time and be ready for hands-on activities, friendly conversation, informative explanations & delicious cocktails. Dress casual & comfortable. Avoid loose, dangling jewelry and clothing, as these items may restrict ability to perform activities.
