体验内容
Over a cup of tea or coffee we will start this experience with a chat about you and what you like. This conversation will help us form some raw ideas, which we will use to create a design together. Once the design sketch is complete, we will start making the jewelry. You will learn how to turn your design into reality using silver materials. Your ideas are key, and you do not need to have any prior jewelry making skills. Within three hours we will create a unique treasure, from initial design to completed product. After we are done, I can give you some pointers to explore the neighborhood, as well as give you information about Korea in general. Around the studio you can find many design stores, art studios, restaurants, and cafés.

This experience is designed for guests who are new to metal work. During our time together, guests are asked to follow safety instructions when using hardware tools.

I obtained a BA in Korean Folklore and a MA in Social Anthropology. While I have been trained as a cultural expert, I’ve always had a passion for crafts. I started my career as a jewelry artist in 2012, integrating cultural and personal meaning into my designs. Over the years I’ve participated in several art and fashion events in Korea and abroad.

My studio 'Sterling Mag.' is located in Yeonnam-dong. The area was recently put in the spotlight with the opening of Yeontral Park. It is also considered part of Hongik University—which has a well-known art department—adding to district’s unique artistic atmosphere.

- 쥬얼리 공예는 거의 처음 해보는거나 다름 없어서 어떤걸 어떻게 만들 수 있을지 조금 걱정도 되고 기대도 됐었는데, 사전에 원하는 디자인에 대해서 말씀드렸더니 그런 부분을 충분히 고려해주셔서 정말 맘에 드는 쥬얼리를 만들 수 있었던 것 같아요. 제작 과정에 대해서 들어가기 전에 전반적인 설명을 해주시고 중간 중간에 사용하는 도구나 보완할 부분에 대해서 자세한 설명을 해주셔서 처음 해보는 거였지만 어색하지 않게 진행할 수 있었습니다. 위치도 홍대입구역이랑 가까워서 좋았고 공간도 너무 예뻤어요. 무엇보다 반지가 기대한 것 보다도 더 마음에 들게 나와서 매일매일 착용하고 다닐 수 있을 것 같습니다. 서울안에서 새로운 체험을 원하시는 분들께 추천드려요!
- I totally recommend this experience! It was so much more fun than I’ve expected! Yeoun was very nice she talked us through the entire process and helped us achieve the desired couple rings design we wanted. They look fantastic! Like if they were professionally made. Her guidance was truly helpful and it all paid off eventually. She also happens to be a very good photographer she took amazing shots of us while working on the rings. Overall a great experience in a cute cozy studio!
