Berlin is only truly experienced when you venture off the well-worn tourist track so that you can see, hear and feel the place the same way a local does. Only then will you get close to the true essence, to the true heart, to the very fabric of the place you are in and have an experience like no other. We'll leave the famous main tourist attractions to the side and are going to peek behind the scenes of mainstream Berlin away from the overcrowded hotspots. We'll see local and diverse communities, walk along a proper street market, discover traces of Berlin's modern urban history and find out about the city's current problems and future developments. On my Berlin safari you will experience a day in the life of the Berliners while we're exploring six different neighbourhoods north and south of the city centre. It's a nice and easy stroll and we're not in a rush. I want you to connect to the places and feel what you see. Also, to move from one locatoin to another we're hopping on trains and buses, just as the Berliners do. Last but not least, there's a proper lunch break at an indoor food market at around 1pm (not included in the price). I am very much looking forward to having you on my urban exploration. Berlin is never Berlin - it's a city condemned forever to becoming and never to being.
Wenn Sie eine deutsche Führung wünschen, können Sie mir gerne eine Anfrage senden. Vielleicht kann ich es einrichten. If you require a German tour please send an enquiry. Maybe I can arrange it. Hi! My name is Fabian and I'm an urban planner from Berlin. I love exploring the most stimulating city in the world and I am very enthusiastic about sharing my urban and odd discoveries with you. The incredible history and diversity of Berlin still inspire me every single day. I believe that if you only stick to the well-known touristy areas that are listed in your guide book you are going to miss out on the real buzz that acutally defines the spirit of Berlin. The energy of a city doesn't come from its buildings, it comes from the people!
