Take a seat at your reserved table in our newly decorated dining room. You’ll be served Cornish tea or Cornish coffee, choosing your own flavours or how you’d like your coffee served. This is bottomless, too, so you don’t have to pick one or the other. You can wash it down with Elderflower Presse or fiery Ginger Beer. You’ll be served a homemade selection of our favourite cakes: scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam, lemon drizzle, rocky road and flapjack squares, smoked salmon, cucumber and cheese sandwiches, plus pepper, carrot and celery sticks with homemade hummus. Top it off with brightly coloured meringues and chocolate sauce to dip kiwi, orange and strawberry skewers in for something sharp and sweet to finish. Anything you can’t finish will be packaged in recyclable packages to take home.
I own a cafe and bookshop in St Just, a little chocolate-box town along the Cornish coastline. We specialise in bespoke cakes, catering, hampers, homemade cuisine, hearty soups, Cornish cream teas and really good coffee. We make jams, chutneys, marmalade, occasion cakes, cupcakes and gift boxes available to buy in-house or via our online shop which goes live on March 1st. Our modern take on High Tea has proven so popular we thought we’d open it up to everyone.
Once you’re finished, take a moment to explore our secondhand bookshop upstairs. With thousands to choose from, as well as a carefully curated selection of rare and first edition tomes, there’s plenty to keep you occupied.
