We will meet in front of Kristiine Shopping Centre from where we will take a short walk with our groceries to my apartment. The plan from there is to offer you the possibility to experience what it takes to create food for a usual simple Estonian party table nowadays :) This of course includes all the preparation in a family setting where my sister will be joining us as well - chopping, grating, rolling, mixing and everything in between. We will be making our classic potato salad, cheese & garlic ham rolls and a simple jam crumble cake or cinnamon rolls. And then of course we will join the party itself where we will help ourselves to all the delicious flavors we created plus some drinks and of course black bread. If you have special requests regarding the menu (something you have wanted to try or instead have allergies for), let me know and we can work something out!
We are sisters Eliise - a professional in a strict field during daytime and Loviise - an art student, both with real passion for food and travelling. We come from a community where food is the one thing everyone connects over. Whether it be just visiting our grandmother, a birthday party or gift ideas - the first thing on everyone's mind is food. This has made us all skilled home cooks, hospitality providers and lovers of different cuisines and techniques. And now we would like to put all the practice we've gathered over the years to good use by introducing our visitors to our family traditions.
All the food we will be cooking - potato salad, ham rolls, crumble cake or cinnamon rolls and black bread with herb butter.
Our party table will be set with a shot of vodka and a traditional juice mix.
My young home is located at the edge of the city centre and will offer you a great experience on how a local in Tallinn lives. The apartment is spacious and comfortable (especially made so by my chonky cat) so everyone could feel just as relaxed and homely as possible.
