My experiences as a fashion photographer in Europe and USA have taught me the importance of working with weather, lighting and unexpected situations. Sometimes what seemed a problem turned out to make the final foto much more interesting. Go with it and recognize the scene unfolding in front of you. I'll show you how to see the light that makes the image so special. Using any type of camera, from phones to SLRs. It is all about capturing the magic moment. Tricks to make your camera able to capture complicated lighting. I like to begin with some time to get to know each other. Have a coffee or tea at my place and you can see some of my work. My studio is downtown San Jose in Chinatown. Let me know what your passion and vision are. What you want to see and experience. We will go accordingly to some area suitable to experience the hands-on camera workshop. I will also share my favorite apps for editing and help you create some artistic effects. We can end up in a cafe or restaurant to look over our results of the foto shoots. Contact me before you book for other possibilities. Discuss and answer questions. I was raised on a farm in Indiana, USA. I worked as a fashion photographer in Paris and Chicago. Later, I retired from fashion and returned to my artist roots, ultimately settling in Costa Rica, where my interest and passion for photography was rekindled. I am a mural artist and still active as a professional photographer.

We will meet at my studio in downtown San José, in Chinatown. We will then visit the Parque Espana, where we can photograph exotic plants and historic buildings. Street markets and people-watching make for some amazing photos. We can finish the session in a café to look over the results of our photo shoot. This is an opportunity to ask more questions and receive more advice. It can be possible in other locations or beaches. Ask me for details.

- I enjoyed a personal walking tour with Scott, an American who his lived in San Juan for many years and knows it well. He shared so many interesting facts with me and made the experience very personal and enjoyable. He is a laid-back artist as well as photographer and he shared great digital photography tips with me. Wonderful experience!
