I'm a certified guide and a history buff with a particular interest in Florentine history. I'm looking forward to sharing my insights with whoever is interested. I enjoy hearing people's impressions and exchanging views about the city's history and traditions. My tours are for a maximum of 8 people. Bring a bottle of water which we can re-fill as we go.
Florence features many layers of architecture and art in plain view. Problem is: how to make heads or tails of it all. The objective of this experience is for you to come away with a better idea of the city's history, especially regarding the Renaissance. Together (I've set the limit: never more than 9 guests per tour) we will view some famous examples but also some off-the-usual-road hidden…
Bring something to cover your shoulders and knees (when entering churches).

appropiate clothing to enter churches (to cover knees, shoulders)
The Tour will feature the main sites in and around the city’s religious center (the Cathedral complex), the political center (Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio) and (if time allows) across the Arno river. Also, it will offer access to some very private and secretive spaces which highlight the uniqueness of this city's situation as the birthplace of the Renaissance.
