**STANDARD CLASS DESCRIPTION**
Once you arrive at our lovely Hawaiiana home, you will be greeted with Aloha and brought to your own cooking stations. Your menu, recipes, and all cooking equipment will be awaiting you and we will jump right in to a full hands-on cooking experience!
This experience is for our "Hawaii Local Favorites" class which includes 4 dishes:
- Trio of Island Fresh Poke
- Coconut Crusted Kahuku Shrimp
- Deluxe Musubis
- Butter Mochi
Afterwards, you will enjoy your freshly prepared meal at a communal table with your other cooking guests with a glass of wine, beer or other beverage of choice!
**PREMIUM CLASSES**
Some classes may be listed at a higher price, starting at $210 per person. These classes are a premium experience which includes 5-6 dishes and lasts approximately 4-4.5 hours long.
**OTHER CUISINES/THEMES**
Only our "Hawaii Local Favorites" class is available through Airbnb. We offer other cuisines/themes, premium classes and private/group classes as well! Please contact us for more information!
(Other classes include Traditional Hawaii, Thai, Italian, Pacific Rim/Asian Fusion, Greek and more!)

Aloha! I have created these classes out of my own passion for food and my love of cooking. I have been in the food and beverage industry for 35 years and I feel as if this is where it has lead me, to create this experience for you! I travel extensively and my favorite experience in every country was to take a cooking class in that area. I found the best ones were in a local home because it felt more intimate to be able to experience how they live, cook and eat in their homeland. I believe you will feel the aloha here and walk away with the confidence to make these dishes back home!

You will get out of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and experience a lovely local neighborhood while enjoying watching the rolling waves from all areas of the house.

- Thank you Linda! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Linda’s home was beautiful, and she has all of the best kitchen equipment to make this experience as enjoyable and authentic as possible. Learned a lot from her expertise; I will be cooking these recipes in the future!
- Linda is one of the most interesting, energetic people I've ever met and you won't regret doing this experience just for the fun of listening to her stories. Linda hosts this at her house, which is outfitted with an industrial kitchen, a porch with a stunning view of Diamond Head, and a half dozen pets including a large pig named Bacon. I'm not sure "cooking class" quite captures the experience -- this was a whirlwind tour of preparing several foods (braised beef, sea bass, crab cakes, butter mochi) in Hawaiian and Japanese style. The whole group (6 of us) participated in making each item, with Linda delegating tasks (chop this, dice that, sear this, etc.) like the professional chef she is and talking the whole group through the cooking process. She also explained various decisions that went into the cooking -- which items could be substituted, the ways she'd customized her recipes, and where to buy ingredients would make the cooking much easier. She handled the hardest and most error-prone parts herself (mostly timing-related) to make sure nothing went *too* badly wrong and at the end we enjoyed the four-course meal we'd prepared as a group.
