The coffee crawl is a coffee version of a pub crawl. The aim of this experience is to introduce some of the most amazing coffee places the Old Port has to offer. You'll get the chance to appreciate coffee and Montreal's history/architecture. Be sure to follow @culturecup.ca for more pictures of the experience! The Old Port is not only a great place to take photos, but it is also the birthplace of economic and cultural development in the city, since 1642. I've selected some of the most unique coffee places located in the Old Port. The tour will feature one of Montreal's most famous coffee shops which produce and sell their own coffee and is also the winner of Th3rdwave's Coffee of the year and Best new coffee shop. We will then head towards a coffee shop, which was formally the original Royal Bank of Canada headquarters built-in 1928. The space is a historic, protected building in the heart of old Montreal. The tour will end in Montreal's beautiful and hidden underground city. We will talk about the history of this area. You'll make new friends and see what makes the Old Port the place to be. You're going to find out why so many people are gravitating towards this part of the city.
My name is Daniel and I'm an avid coffee drinker. Growing up in Montreal, I've always sought to discover new places and meet new people. I particularly have a strong attraction for coffee. I not only love the taste of coffee, but I believe it's a great way to have a conversation with someone and meet new people. I've tried many of the coffee places in Montreal and now want to share that experience with other people from around the world, and even with people in my own city.
The first coffee shop we'll be stopping at roasts and sells their own coffee. They specialize in third-wave coffee, a movement which considers coffee to be an artisanal food, like wine. The second coffee shop is a stable of Montreal, mainly for the architectural design of its location and the history behind it. Lastly, the underground city is a must-see for any tourist. It features a number of unique shops along with unique architecture.
If there are any questions/concerns, please feel free to send me a message. I'd be glad to help.
