The best way to see the northern lights is to be outside in beautiful unspoiled nature. I will take you there. With snowshoes we will go through untouched snow to find a perfect spot for aurora watching. We will make a fire and have some hot drinks to keep us warm. If the sky is clear and the aurora activity is high, you will have good chances to see northern lights. If it is cloudy more luck is involved. In any case this will be a wonderful adventure. I will also bring some sausages to grill and some cookies. I will pick you up at your Rovaniemi accommodation or at the meeting point and bring you to a forest area 15 to 30 km away from the city, according to the weather conditions. After the tour I will bring you back. During the tour you will get good understanding about going out to the nature where snow remains untouched. You will learn some basics about survival in the arctic woods, about life in the area and about reindeer herding and local Sami natives. You can ask more from topics you are interested. After the tour you will have better understanding about the life far North in the arctics.
Years before I became a Lapland wilderness guide , I already had the passion of exploring wild nature. I traveled Siberia, Alaska and Scandinavia and learned all the skills needed to live in remote places. I love to share my knowledge and life experience to inspire people and make the world a better place. I spent as much time outdoors as I can. Discovering new places with my dog and searching for the northern lights at night. I also speak German, French and Spanish Check out my Instagram : Dreaming Naali

The tour takes place in a beautiful forest area in the Rovaniemi surroundings, far enough to be away from the light pollution. We try to go where the sky is clear that's why the location can change.
