We will meet you at Brunswick Heads beach. As we rest in a shady spot, you'll first be introduced the horses and get to learn their stories. We'll take the time to connect so the humans and horses are communicating peacefully. We'll cover the finer points of how to read the horse's subtle body language, how to give them gentle signals and how to lead them confidently and gracefully. We'll then set off through a secluded nature trail towards the beach. We'll spend approximately 1-hour walking and will stop for a swim in the ocean before heading back.
I'm the creator of One With Horses, which is both how I describe my way of connecting with horses as well as the title of a book I'm currently completing. As a Certified Equestrian Australia Coach, I have 15 years experience handling horses safely, kindly and minimising risk for all ages and levels of experience. I am dedicated to inspiring compassion towards horses, animals and the natural world. My mission is to shift the paradigm of the horse world by offering people alternatives to traditional methods and replacing them with considerate practices that focus on partnership, collaboration and support for our equine friends. I feel it's important for us to stand together for the horses and awaken both ourselves and others to new ways of being together based on unconditional love and presence.
We'll be walking on Brunswick Heads Beach. We will begin our adventure on a little nature track that eventually leads us to the water's edge. The horses love to roll in the deep sand on the way. On our way back, you'll have the option to swim with your horse. We will finish by going to a magical spot where the horses love to graze in the shade of the Casaurina trees.
Children are welcome. We recommend 7 years and older. If children are on their own, we are happy to take them and we can discuss their needs before we go. Or parents can go on the adventure with them.
