The purpose of this experience is to educate and enlighten. To begin, we’ll go into detail about the month of Ramadan - it’s importance, and what Muslims actually do during this time. One of the most exciting parts of the day during Ramadan is the breaking of the fast at sunset...we get to eat! After our discussion about Ramadan, we will prepare to “break our fast”, and enjoy a delicious meal together as if it were actually Ramadan. *This experience is available throughout the year, and is open to everyone - non Muslims & Muslims! **Start times for this experience are based on the setting of the sun.
I am a 39 year old American born Muslim. I have been practicing Islam all of my life. I come from a very large family - mostly Muslim, some Christian...all love! I am in love with many of our practices that bring people together. Practices that encourage love, peace, and happiness. Every year during the blessed and sacred month of Ramadan, I host iftar (the sunset meal) in my home for family and friends to break the fast together.
