Let’s make our own incense with traditional Japanese scents in my tatami room, with a small Japanese garden. You'll choose eight of 18 raw scents by smelling them and using your intuition. Based on herbal medicine and natural scents, the materials will heal your body and soul. As a qualified scent master, I'll explain the details of the scents. You will gain knowledge about the historical background of Japanese incense. I also want you to learn how to use incense in your daily life through this experience. Sometimes I feel my body and heart are getting tired of man-made, chemical scents. However, traditional Japanese scents bring people closer together in a harmonized atmosphere. After the course, seasonal Japanese tea is served.
I have taught Japanese scents at cultural centers since 2004. I am a qualified master of scents, something very few people can achieve. I am also a master of Japanese tea, having earned my certification from the NPO Nihoncha Instructor Association. I have been teaching my own scent class for companies and schools since 2004 with combined healing sessions. Furthermore, I have been a licensed aroma therapy instructor since 2000, when I began hosting healing classes. I want you to feel at peace with your own body and mind through aromatic scents and tea.
