We will reach Manarola by train from Florence. Our excursion will start in Manarola, a small fishermen town, to reach Corniglia, the cliff village from which we can admire all the other villages. After Corniglia we will go to Vernazza, the most beautiful of the villages where you will be free to reach the top of the tower, once part of the ancient fortress that stood in place of the village. From Vernazza we will take the train and with a very short journey (3 minutes or so) we will be in Monterosso, the largest and last of the villages, once there you will be free to visit the city or take a refreshing swim in the Ligurian Sea. Alternatively, since you will surely be hungry after the beautiful but tiring walk, you can enjoy a good typical lunch. Of course I will provide you with the best clues about what, and where to eat. Be ready to walk! These ancient trails are rough but manageable. Be prepared for the trek – even if the route is open to everyone, remember that the terrain can be slippery, uneven, and in some places the path is steep and narrow. The charm of the area is just to be natural and unspoiled, don't expect handrails or railings when the steps are steep or when the trail is near the edge of the cliff. In order to enjoy the beauty of this place you need the assistance of a guide that ensures a good level of safety.
I have always been passionate about history, and Florence, like the whole of Tuscany, is a gateway to the past. My other great passion is nature, which I respect and protect, because nature, as well as a city, or a museum, has a lot to tell. In fact, life in the city depends completely on what nature offers, and to appreciate it at its best and protect it, we must know it. These passions prompted me to become an environmental guide first, and then a tourist guide, to be able to transmit them to those visiting Tusany, and also to those who live here, in the most genuine and ecological way possible, walking. Whether it is a visit to one of the Florentine museums, or a relaxing walk through the city reliving the greatness, or a panoramical hike in the CinqueTerre national park contact me and I will be happy to accompany you.
I will offer the CinqueTerre card, necessary to walk some trails and to allow us the use of trains within the CinqueTerre…
