Our tour begins at the train station in Frascati, a small town 12 miles southeast of Rome. Your guide will pick you up directly at the platform and walk you through town and show you some of the main sites. You will feel like a local while accompanied by your guide who lives in Frascati and knows everybody in town! At the historic family run Ceralli Bakery you will try house wine and “ciambelle”, wine cookies. The Ceralli family has been running this wood fired bakery for 100 years and you will still find 94 year old Nonna Rosanna there every day to make sure everything is being done right. After the tour of town you will have the opportunity to explore a wonderful 16th century winery. You will be shown around the vineyard as well as the wine caves before sitting down for your tasting. You will try 3 different wines with local seasonal food pairings and have time to explore the grounds and take some photos before heading back into town. Lunch (or dinner) will be at a local restaurant in the center of town and you will first be served seasonal antipasti of local cheeses, vegetables & different salumi followed by fresh homemade pasta with seasonal sauces. The meal is also served with your favorite wine from the tasting. The start time for each day is listed below and coordinates with the arrival of the train from Rome. Monday-Friday: 10:20AM Saturday: 9:24AM Sunday: 10:24AM
