Let's visiting Wat Umonh, one of a kind. Over 700 years old tranquil temple, contained the oldest mural in Lanna Kingdom, built as a series of connecting above-ground tunnels. The temple complex is nestled in a lush bamboo forrest with a big serene lake where you could feed giant catfishes and turtles.
Then afterwards, follow me to visit the hidden gem of Chiang Mai- Doi Suthep non-hunting are, right behind Wat Umong complex, a huge park where you will usually see wild deers and red cows and various species of rare birds. The animals are used to human and not dangerous. Also, we will should you the majestic ruins of temple that was once a part of Wat Umong :)

Please note that a fair amount of walking is required (roughly around 4KM loop walk), sensible footwear to walk in a dirt path is highly recommended but most of the paths are shady.
We will meet right at the main gate of Wat Umong(inside the gate), just tell the song thew or taxis to go to Wat Umong. They will drop you there by default.

- I have been on quite a few of Sue's tours now and she is always a friendly, warm and enthusiastic guide. - Wander off the beaten path! This was a different experience from everything else we did in Chiang Mai. Sue and her partner in crime Patrick are warm and knowledgeable guides. Their enthusiasm is contagious. We enjoyed the special intriguing stories about the history of Wat Umong and walked through what felt like an isolated wilderness temple complex...but it was actually right in the city. We saw wild animals and birds on our nature walk and felt like we were really getting away. Sue and Patrick are a joy to be around. We highly recommend this tour! Book now because I’m sure the demand will surge when word gets out about Sue and her amazing out of the ordinary tours.
- Sue and Patrick made this tunnel Tempel hidden in the forest come alive with history facts and legends and their personal experiences in the area. They also took us a bit deeper in the forest to old Tempel remainings, it was a magic moment we spent together. Thanks a lot to both of you 🙏 and hopefully to meet you again!
