We will meet at the Dunkin Donuts on Charleston Road then drive (you will need your own transportation) to Red Rocks Park to dive head first into real roped rock climbing. After hiking to the cliff we will: -Learn about the equipment and how to use it -Learn to tie knots and how to properly tie in to the rope -Learn how to belay -Climb the rock cliff for the remaining amount of allotted time! -Hike back to our vehicles and part ways I will provide all necessary safety gear and technical skill. I am very flexible and will tailor your experience to your comfort level. You can expect to climb anywhere from 40 to 200 feet off the ground depending on your comfort level. This experience is being offered to climbers of all ability and skill levels. Private bookings are also available to larger groups or guests interested in a longer more adventurous experience. I offer custom experiences ranging from never climbed before beginners with no experience to expert climbers who want to get high off the ground or who want to learn advanced rope rescue and risk management skills. We will be Rock Climbing in the Red Rock National Conservation Area just 20 short minutes from the Strip. We will climb on the famous Red Rock Sandstone formations at an area called Calico Basin. We will follow beautiful hiking trails to the rock climbing cliffs and you will enjoy the path less taken.
Be prepared to hike over rough and rocky terrain so closed toe shoes are a must. No experience necessary but please let me know if you have a fear of heights. I can work through a general fear of heights but if you have an extreme fear of heights, this experience may not be for you.
