The advantage to having done more pub crawls than anyone else in the city, is that I have the widest range of classic bars, and the best bartenders in the city, at my disposal. These people are my friends. New Orleans is a cocktail town, with reason. This is an evening of classic concoctions, ghost stories, city history, drinking tales, and voodoo. I'll tie all of these points together into a cohesive experience of chills, laughs, and must-have drink suggestions. This is still well-researched history, but I'm here to make it fun. Let me save you from the dull recitation of New Orleans' bullet points - I put on a show. This is storytelling, and through these stories, I will help you connect with one of the most amazing cities on the planet. I will balance the tour locations based on group interest, and where the great bartenders are working on any given night. This is less about daiquiris and more about the signature drinks of New Orleans. However, this is definitely unpretentious. If you are beer people, we can consider that too. You are not required to buy anything, drink what you wish. In between bars, we will visit some historical, and haunted locations, while I weave all the content into a well-rounded evening. This is perfect for groups with a wide range of interests.....except vampire stories, I don't do vampire stories, those are made up.
I have given well over a thousand tours, and I am a licensed tour guide who has walked with over 20,000 visitors. Nobody in New Orleans has given more pub crawls than I have, and I have been filmed for Travel Channel and other documentaries. I have years of rave reviews behind me - it's been an honor representing this great city. I'm passionate about storytelling, history, and helping people connect with the amazing. Consider me a future resource, a friend to ask questions and strategize your way through the city's complexities. I love meeting and knowing people from other locations, and I've stayed in touch with many of my guests throughout the years. So, this is kind of like having a buddy in town, who is also an actor, historian, writer, musician, foodie, bartender, and travel guru.
We will visit classic and neighborhood bars that have some of the best bartenders in the city. With drinks in hand, we will walk and stop at historical places between each bar, and hear some of the old ghost stories that have fascinated New Orleanians for generations. We'll talk history, a little architecture, and drinking tales. I will mold the content and venues based on group interest.
It is logistically easier to let you buy your own drinks, I don't provide them. One venue will be cash only with an ATM. Please consider eating prior. The only thing that ever ruins a tour, are people showing up to the tour drunk. Please hold off, I have some fantastic drinking options to suggest.
