The tour focuses on the ideas that: 1) Walking talking and shooting we can both learn loads about life in Cuba and anchor our learning to the visual artifacts that will be your photographic souvenirs so that this learning sticks. And, 2) that, after her people, one of the poignantly singular curios of Havana is her urban decay. Havana's buildings crumble every day but her people stay in them until the very end. Some lots are left in rubble and others turned into parks, playgrounds and public art. You cannot understand Havana without knowing her complicated relationship to time and the effects that this force of nature plays on her infrastructure. This tour can run anytime of day or night. If you don't see a time of group size that fits your needs please do not hesitate to contact me and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
In Cuba we say that one must have two jobs to survive. One job to feed the belly and another to feed the soul. We are David and Bianca a marriage where my wife is a psicology and a tour guide and I am an engineer by profession and a photographer by passion! that's way we can show you the best places in this city, where you can take the bestest photos and learn about how we live in Cuba. We will talk abot History, Culture, Arts, Religion, Politics, etc. If you let me show you the city I live in and love then, then I will help you connect it in a unique way, where you will also take with you beautiful photos and experiences
You will walk the streets of Old and Central Havana moving in tangents to the masses of tourists. You'll see and photograph the stubborn dignity of the urban decline left over from long gone but not forgotten boom times and decadence. Inside, outside and all around the buildings in various states of upkeep is the true beauty of Havana, her people! You'll walk and talk and learn and shoot and meet the people and, hopefully get an idea of the beaut
Havana and the beauty of the urban decay
