This is a 2 hour guided dim sum food feast!
We visit one of the oldest dimsum teahouse parlours in Hong Kong. It's been around HK since the 1900's. We're not boasting, but we do know all the waitstaff around there so we can tell you all the ins & outs, the underground operations, and all the social nuisances that happens here. We will take you to meet Chef Dimples and get a sneak peek into the kitchen; Auntie Gil, our favourite trolley auntie usually comes over to say hi & saves the biggest BBQ pork buns for us!
DIMSUM | We run the tour for a minimum of 2 guests bc dimsum really needs to be shared & you will try at least 6 dishes.
As part of the experience, we will need to fight for our table, wash our own dishes and find our own food. We will be there to learn about dimsum culture, people watch & HK local dining etiquette so this is a great tour to try on your first days in HK. There is minimal walking on this tour.
If you're looking for a food walking tour - please try our signature Whampoa Off-the-Eaten-Path Food Tour (Intermediate level) or our Best of Hong Kong Foods Sham Shui Po (Beginner level).
Note: This is not suitable for guests with dietary restrictions.
Other things to note
Some of the dim sum you might try: chicken feet, Malay cake, assorted dumplings, siu mai, traditional quail egg siu mai, BBQ pork buns, glutinous rice with pork steamed in lotus leaf.

I'm Virginia & I run a local food tour company called Humid with a Chance of Fishballs Tours in Hong Kong (HK). Sound familiar? We took Foodie Youtuber Mike Chen from Strictly Dumpling around for street food. https://youtu.be/iFhqs3AyTAY How we wok n roll!
We want tourists to see the real HK, thru food. You are going to eat through HK's culture, traditions & history. HCFT is a small team of guides - Virginia, John, & Kelly.
We're bi-lingual (Cantonese & English). We make sure to go to the real mom & pop shops which are decades-old, & several generations passed down so you can hear all the great stories behind the people that cook the food.

We meet here to bring all the guests up to the dimsum teahouse which is a 5 min walk.
OLDEST DIMSUM TEAHOUSE
Often thought of as Chinese tapas, dim sum, are small dishes meant to be shared around the table and is the epitome of Hong Kong food. This place makes no concession to modernity or English speakers & dimsum is meant to be shared so it's a great activity for a group tour.

- The tour itself was fine. Our guide was friendly and was kind enough to settle us in. The negatives really came from the restaurant. The manager was an arsehole. Blasted us the moment we sat down. Not sure what he was upset about but clearly was in a mood. Soured my experience. Food was okay. Nothing extraordinary. Anyways, if you want an excuse to meet new people then give it a go as I did meet a nice couple from Chicago. Otherwise don't bother.
