Boxing Training for ANY level! Boxing has become America’s most popular fitness workout - and now, Boxing Strong® has come to Monterey! You will engage in an authentic boxer’s training system that will develop the speed, strength, and endurance necessary to strengthen and shape your body, as well as invigorate and activate your mind. Test your ability to sustain 60 minutes of accurate boxing technique, combined with the functional conditioning found in jump rope, speed ladders, partner drills, footwork, and bag work (and of course we end with a relaxing mobility/stretch exercises). During each class, you will work with the other members of the group, and you will also receive personalized pointers from the coach, with a focus on individual progression.
I absolutely love boxing; as a trainer, I get to see the way that boxing encompasses nearly all of the physical training elements — to this day, it remains the most challenging (mentally and physically) workout I have ever done. Boxing builds, tones, shapes, and sculpts bodies, and most importantly, strengthens minds. I love to push people to surprise themselves with what they can do. Mind over matter is definitely a valid concept when it comes to boxing. I believe in encouraging small victories, taking challenges one step at a time, but most importantly in continuing to raise the bar. We are only as physically strong as our minds are strong. I have been boxing competitively for over 7 years, and after retiring in 2017, I decided to start training others and this has been a truly rewarding and an incredible journey.
I will provide you with gloves and wraps, as well as happy memories captured in the pictures we'll take together.
We will meet at our the studio on Lighthouse. You can catch a beautiful ocean view from the big open windows during your intense workout. Parking is available at the back of the building or on the street.
