I grew up (my childhood) in a farm located in the cloud forest. Since 2001, I started to work in tourism as a bilingual driver for near 2 years and then I studied tourism, got my credentials and working for small local travel agencies and I ended up working as a tour guide for Lindblad Expeditions (National Geography). Since then, I am guiding all over Ecuador, Amazon rain forest and on cruises to the Galapagos islands. My last 9 years working together with local people from the northwestern part of Quito city. I would love to share my experiences, the bit I know with everyone who are interested in nature wonders like the birds and in general what the ecology means. Why birding tours are expensive if nature is free ? We only need to know it and start to understand and start to love nature.

Cloud forest Community of San Jose de Saloya, it is a village of 40 families located at the northwestern part of Quito city, almost two hours drive. Excellent not touristy place for birding (hummingbirds and toucans) and farm activity (hands on), learn how to prepare local dishes. Great views of the Andes mountains and cloud forest.
