We are going to visit one of my favourite churches in Florence: Santa Maria Novella. We will meet in front of the church in the stunning Piazza Santa Maria Novella which was built in 1287, I will introduce you something about the history of Florence and this square and after discovering all the curiosities that are hidden in this square we will enter inside of the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. Once inside you will be surrounded by art: statues, paintings and frescoes are everywhere. You will have the occasion to admire some of the most finest art examples that you ever seen, as the Crucifix by Giotto and the one by Brunelleschi, the Spanish Chapel, the Great Cloister and the Tornabuoni Chapel entire made by Ghirlandaio where you can even see the first figures frescoed by Michelangelo (sssh! This is a secret!).
