A family friendly tour of Europe's largest modern art gallery. Visiting the Pompidou Centre in the late afternoon means that the crowds have disappeared and we can roam the galleries in peace! With over 100,000 works of art the most efficient way to visit with kids is with a family-friendly tour guide. The tour serves to provide an overview from the beginning of the modern art movement to the present day in a way that is understandable and engaging for all ages. During the one-hour walk through the fourth floor, we will discover key works by iconic artists like Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Vassily Kandinsky, Jean Dubuffet and Andy Warhol. Your family will learn about the major movements that have shaped art and culture in the 20th and 21st centuries, such as Cubism and Surrealism. NB: We take time for photos overlooking the rooftops of Paris from the terrace during the sunset and you are welcome to continue exploring the museum, workshops or boutiques on your own after the tour finishes.

We meet outside the building to admire the very interesting architecture. We start the tour with a brief history of the neighbourhood and the reason the Pompidou Centre was built. Once inside the building, we will get orientated before heading up the never-ending escalator. We spend about one hour on the fourth floor learning about art and discovering some of the most famous artists of the modern and contemporary art world.
