Discover Hilo's fascinating history and the extraordinary stories that helped shape it along a scenic bay-front and cozy downtown with the owner of Walking Tours of Hilo. We'll start by taking an in-depth look at Hilo's seemingly lost history from pre-contact to present day, then explore a wide range of preserved landmarks and local hidden gems. Along the way, we'll learn valuable insights about Hilo's influential personalities and view rare photos from c. 1860-1950 that bring the stories and scenery to life.
