I will pick you up at your apartment or hotel and we will go to visit one of the most important (if not the most) castle in Rioja, Clavijo Castle. After that we will cross the canyon of Iregua River visiting the medieval bridge of Viguera, then we will visit the colorful and steep village of Ortigosa, we will have a very nice walk there and a coffee break. After we will climb to the peak of Canto Hincado at almost 2000 altitude, we will enjoy the view and with little bit of luck we will see wild animals. After the peak we will go down the mountain to the very old village of Brieva. After we will go to Anguiano, maybe the most iconic village in all Rioja because its traditional ancient dances and its red beans, we will have lunch there, of course red beans (caparrón de Anguiano). Then we will go to Logroño but before arriving i will show you a catholic church that inside contains a Roman temple from IV century.
Hello and welcome to my birthplace , La Rioja. I am a permanent resident in Poland, but I am going back home for winter, I´m so happy about it, i really miss it. I am tourist guide here in Poland, but believe me, hundreds of times i showed my land to visitors, as a hobby, with love and always giving an authentic view of it, a real view of it, how we local people behave and do the things. Remember that in Rioja is not only wine and food, also different landscapes. I am from one of the most iconic villages in Rioja, Anguiano (we will visit about its crazy traditional dances), also from Baños, already in wine area, but always living in Logroño. La Rioja has amazing castles, rivers, bridges and mountains, do you wanna see them with me?
We will eat a lunch with a mountain menu(red beans, second dish and dessert), also wine and coffee is included
We will make coffee break and will be water with us in the car
All the trip is made by car
