Combining meditation and painting, encouraging participants to make an internal inquiry, and try and capture that visually while experimenting with abstract painting techniques. Participants will leave with small paintings.
Rosie has a background in visual art and education. She has been a practicing artist for over a decade, with a lively studio practice, here in Devon. She has also been an active participant in regional, national and international projects and exhibitions. In addition to this, she is an experienced leader of creative sessions, mainly working with children, young adults and families. Within this capacity, she has worked with regional leaders in the Arts and Culture sector, including Exeter Phoenix, Royal William Yard and Port Eliot Festival. Her ambition is to run workshops with a focus on healing through intuitive mark making and meditative immersion. In addition to her work as an artist and art facilitator, she has a background in Arts administration, co-ordinating a regional animation festival and a city wide open studio event.
All paper, and paints will be provided.
This event will be held at my own residence or in a hired space depending on numbers. It could even potentially take place outside during summer months. My home is a calming environment.
Don’t be afraid of meditating or using your visual senses... I want this to be relaxing and interesting for you. I am very flexible. If there’s times or dates you’d like me to consider, please get in touch. I’m also flexible on group size. I’m used to working with hen parties so big numbers are fine
