• You will meet Yok at your accommodation with a car. She will take you to meet Ajarn Wee at the temple about 30-45 mins outside the city. You will one stop at the local market Yok will guide you and help you prepare an offering of incense, candles, fruits which you will give to the Ajarn in order to receive his blessing. Also We will have some food at the market before we go to the temple. • After leaving the market we will head up to the quiet Buddhist temple where Ajarn Wee Piyo has made his studio. • Ajarn Wee is a humble master of the Yantra. Ajarn Wee studied about Sak Yant since he was a monk. He has lived as a monk for 16 years studied Dhamma, Buddhist prayer and ritual. The script he used for Sak Yant is Lanna and Ancient Khmer Language. • For 2,500 THB you will receive one Sak Yant Tattoo 10x12 cm in size. You can choose one tattoo from a variety of 25 designs of the most popular Sak Yant patterns which include “ Gao Yord ”- The Nine Peaks Yant, “ Hah Taew ”-The 5 Lines and more! . After the Ajarn has finished with the tattoo and blessing Yok will take you back to your accommodation.
Yok was raised in Mae Rim, A Small Village in Chiang Mai. Yok's studying Yantra & learning the Khmer language under Ajarn Wee. Yok has been teaching foreigners about Sak Yant culture & taking them to get tattooed for the last 3 years. Yok has spent countless hours in the Samnak translating the teachings for the Ajarns & passing the information on to the students. Currently Yok is working closely with several of the top Ajarns in and around Chiang Mai to help spread a culture that is very much her own. Yok would like to take you off the beaten path for a day & grant you insider access to authentic local Sak Yant culture.
