We begin with an intro to the history of ballooning and how it came to be a big part of my life. While my team prepares the balloon, we’ll review flying and safety techniques, then float above Tuscan valleys and medieval towns as we follow the wind to a gentle countryside landing. To cap it all off, we’ll relax over Tuscan food and wine before driving back to our aviation field.
With hot air ballooning we know the departure point but not our landing place! We’ll leave from Associazione Aerostatica Toscana (GPS coordinates: 43 33’52.05” N 11 11’56.32”E) and follow the wind to a safe landing spot in the open countryside before returning to the aviation field.
Passengers are welcome to bring cameras and required to wear long pants and flat shoes. No jewelry, bags, or sandals. Pregnant women, children under 7, and those with medical conditions that could be aggravated in the event of a hard landing will not be permitted to fly. The pilot has the final decision bout all the operation regarding the flight, on the basis of the weather condition proceeding during the flight. Safety first!
