We'll start our hike after a brief introduction and safety talk. We expect to get some sunshine, learn about local history and ecology, view wildlife, and get some fresh air. As your guide, I will point out orchids, native flora, threatened bromeliads, native birds and a host of interesting creatures such as: Fiddler Crabs and Periwinkles, herons and ibises, and perhaps even Roseate Spoonbills, Wood Storks, and White Pelican. First we'll move through scrubby flat-woods, blossoming wildflowers and Slash Pine will surround us. We inevitably reach marshland, where mangroves, glasswort, and grasses converge on a vast salt flat that calls for exploration. I am here to make this a pleasant and memorable day for everyone, so don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or reservations!
