On your arrival at our Quinta, we will introduce you to our alpacas and show you how to handle, brush and care for them in preparation for our trek. We ideally like everyone to be able to have their own alpaca trekking buddy but we are adaptable and work with various sized groups. Alpacas a wonderful companions for children, sensitive to little people and walk at an easy calm pace. Comfortable shoes for walking, hats and water are recommended. The treks are in the local woodlands and fields and waterways close to the farm. We take our time observing our surroundings, stopping for the alpacas to have a nibble treat here and there when we find something yummy for them. On returning to the quinta and giving them the opportunity to cool down, we can give you a small spinning demonstration. We ask for you to allow for 3 hours for the whole activity, the walk consisting of an one hour and a half approximately.
