This is a photography workshop for all levels My goal is to get you out of the automatic setting on your camera and into controlling your own camera settings. We will either meet at a local coffee shop (or the waterfall depending on location) for a brief meet a greet and find out what you already know and understand about your camera and the settings. We will then head off to the waterfalls. When we get to the waterfall we will get your tripod and gear setup. We will first help you compose your shot. I will then show you step by step how each individual setting on your camera affects the result of the photograph. We will go over ISO, shutter speed, aperture, nd filters, exposure, rule of thirds, and a few other important things. We will spend time composing unique perspectives and get you seeing through your lens in a new way. You will gain the knowledge and skills that you need to capture landscape and waterfall scenes in a way that you never could achieve before.
Hi there! My name is Victoria. I am a professional photographer with a passion for photography and hiking. I have had a camera in my hands since I was very young and got my first DSLR in 2013. I haven't sat it down since. One of the first things I wanted to master was creating silky smooth waterfall photos. To this day it's still my favorite thing to capture in nature. I get asked a lot how I achieve my results or what equipment and settings I use. Well I am now here to personally show you exactly how I get the photographs and I want nothing more than to share that with you! My goal is to get you out of the automatic setting on your camera and into controlling your own camera settings. I will be accompanied by another professional photography host as well, Daniel. We met photographing waterfalls and shoot everything together now.
Where we will be depends on current water levels. But we will go to either some local falls around Chattanooga or to one of the popular state parks in middle Tennessee: Rock Island, Fall Creek Falls, or South Cumberland. The waterfalls will require some hiking and will involve a hike through nature.
