I was born and raised in Tokyo and live here for 13 years but also lived in the US for a few decades. My passion has always been food and travel and have made it a purpose in life to be able to experience excellence in food. Over the years, I have travelled different continents for the pleasure of experiencing great food and have come to a realization of sharing this experience with others and providing this knowledge of where to eat while traveling is important I picked Tokyo as the location since I am able to convey the intricacies of Japanese food and culture to the people visiting Japan and have the chance to discover the best food experience ever. There are over 160,000 food establishments in Tokyo and this food tour is to provide you a guideline to the best of the street foods of Japan.
Yakitori (grilled skewered chicken parts grilled over special binchotan charcoal, Izakaya (assorted kushi yaki ) fried…
Starting with a best yakitori izakaya in Shimbashi then to a gado shita (under the train tracks) food place, we'll visit the places that I consider the best representation for the particular Japanese dishes. Along the way you will see the sights that has kept the retro era atmosphere of Showa and eat at a ramen place before concluding this tour in Ginza. Shimbashi area still has many spots unknown to many, that makes this experience memorable.
