Veronica will meet guests at the East train station around 8am in Paris and help them purchase their tickets out to Champagne. We will ride the one hour train together and then dive into the charm of the region's most interesting village, 'Epernay', the former home to Dom Pérignon. We will stroll through the village's farmer's market and pass by the famous sites before heading to the Moet & Chandon or Mercier house for a one-hour tasting. After the tasting the group will enjoy a fresh picnic together overlooking a vineyard before heading back to Paris. The tour serves to provide an overview of the history of Champagne and the region, show guests areas they would not find on their own and of course enjoy the local specialty! Guests are welcome to stay longer in Epernay or take the train to Reims if they prefer to explore the region further on their own.
Veronica has worked in tourism in France for over five years, and prefers to focus her tours on showing guests the beauty and culture of France. She has been studying oenology for 15 years, and therefore promises to deliver her passion french wine and gastronomy. She will share more than just information about champagne, but also about the wars and battles fought in the region, life at the French Royal Court, and help you make the most of your trip in Paris.
