Eat our way through two wet markets and take a fun long-tailed boat ride on a network of winding canals in Thonburi. (Thonburi is a neighborhood on the west side of Chao Phraya river, right opposite to Bangkok.) Leaving out meeting spot, we take a public local pick up truck for a short ride to the first market. Here, you'll have your breakfast at the heart of the bustling market actions. You will learn about all kinds of ingredients, herbs and spices used in Thai cuisine. Then, we board on the exciting boat ride! On the canals, you will see traditional way of life, wooden house on stilts, and sun-bathing monitor lizards! We will make a stop at Klong Bang Luang neighborhood where we visit Artist House, a rustic Thai art gallery set in a 200-year-old wooden stilt house with a pagoda aging more than Bangkok itself. We will savour two more dishes in this neighborhood before getting on the boat again. The boat will drop us off at the second market, passing on the Chao Phraya river where you can see the panoramic view of the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun. The second market is super famous for street food and cheap fashion. We will pick up more snacks from street carts, have more food and dessert. The tour ends here where the tour guide sends you to the nearest skytrain station on a river ferry, though visiting nearby attractions like the Grand Palace!
Hi, my name is Kit. I’m passionate about Thai food. Nothing makes me happier than showing visitors the best parts of Bangkok and bringing them to my favorite local restaurants. I want you to taste authentic Thai flavors, and eat like Thais do. With me, you'll explore from street food to Mom & Pop style restaurants most of which only locals known about. As you enjoy your food among local diners, I'll tell you the stories and secrets of the restaurants and their recipes. And of course you can ask me anything about Thai cuisine. Along the way, you'll learn fun fact about Thai traditions, culture, and beyond. I'll plan, you just explore, eat, and enjoy!

Thonburi is a rustic district on the west bank of Chao Phraya river. It's basically opposite to Bangkok's Old City and is actually a municipal district of Bangkok. Yet, it has an absolute upcountry feel. It's also very green! This is where people still commute by boats on canals. The area is a perfect getaway from Bangkok's bustling metropolis which is just across the river.
