Beautiful Lake Home in South Eastern Ontario

Our house is a wonderful place to enjoy being on a lake. You will be staying in our home where we live with our cat when we do not have airbnb guests. When we have guests, we live in a tiny house in the backyard and are available if needed. There is no landline but cell phone service is good. Internet is sometimes slow. It is not a good fit for large groups who are noisy or families with very energetic children because we have close neighbours who enjoy peace and quiet.

Welcome to our modern countryside cabin located on a 2 acre lot in Wakefield, Quebec. Come relax and recharge for a few days while taking advantage of nature and the cozy interior with fireplace. There is plenty to do nearby: discover the Wakefield village, its restaurants, boutiques, farms, the Gatineau Park, the Nordik Spa, Eco-Odyssee, the nearby golf courses and ski hills, etc. (CITQ Permit #298430. Nestled in the trees is a very rare and secluded year round log home on the shores of the Rideau River. This convenient location is only a 5 minute drive to the main part of Kemptville and 30 minutes from Ottawa. 2 canoes and SUP included! Winter activities include snowmobiling (trail is at the end of the driveway), snowshoeing trails, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.

Our clean and cozy cottage has a beautiful sun porch and comfortably sleeps four people. We are situated on a quiet lake with great swimming and fishing. A paddle boat is available for free. Just 1 1/2 hours outside of Ottawa. We are only 20 minutes away from the award winning Whitetail Golf Course. There are two kayaks available for rent for $35/day each.
