Backstage Hotel is the perfect start and end for your Amsterdam adventure! Close by, you'll find iconic music venues like the Melkweg, Paradiso, BourbonStreet, and Maloe Melo. You can pick up a guitar and play! (just bring a little talent). If you feel like listening, you can borrow a record player and some records from our collection. Attic Monkeys Lodge

Since 2017 this B&B welcomes it's guests in it's playful 400-yr old house in a quiet street in the city center of Amsterdam. Guests are staying in the top two floors of the building. As the house is old, there is no elevator and you will have to climb the traditional steep stairs (like a monkey) to get to the attic. After this climb, you'll get rewarded with a cosy, colorful, clean suite with one double and two single beds, private bathroom, private balcony, coffee/ tea & sitting area. <3

After 1 flight of stairs, you'll find the B&B with 2 bedrooms (with double beds), livingroom, spacious walk-in shower & a separate toilet. Brew a coffee in the pantry & enjoy the morning sun on the balcony. I am into woodwork and made part of the furniture. Public transport to the city centre & Airport are within walking distance. Suitable for business people, 2 couples or families with children.

Locals and travellers alike come to catch some rays on our terrace, sticking around for an affordable dinner and some free cultural nourishment.

There is great history behind the hotel. The Vergulden Eenhoorn was established in 1702 as a city farm and used to be one of very few farmhouses the city of Amsterdam has. Together with the city of Amsterdam the farmhouse was fully renovated to modern standards, while maintaining the historic value and its features.
